Come and explore the fascinating world of mosaics. Be inspired by centuries worth of examples of the endless ways to create magic using this art form. Learn the skills of composing and designing your artwork, choosing and cutting different materials, and laying pieces in both classical and modern patterns. During this 4 week workshop, you’ll make either a 8″ x 10″ or 10″ x 10″ mosaic in the indirect method. Experience the magic of this ancient art form, build your skills, learn about yourself through identifying your preferences, and meet other great people in a fun, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Your registration includes a one-on-one mentorship session with me, prior to the first class. We can use this time to help clarify and identify your goals for learning, plan your project, or discuss anything that comes up in the moment, including personal themes that may or may not seem to relate directly to your mosaic, but give your work it’s own unique flavor. It makes our time in class together that much more dynamic. These sessions are one hour and done via zoom or phone.

Note: This workshop is not limited to beginners. If you have some experience, but want to build on basic skills or brush up on technique, this class is also for you!
