In celebration of another wonderful season of mosaic making, I'm showcasing the work made by students in my studio this fall.
This July full moon is called the Buck Moon, named for this point in the year when the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full growth mode. I love the feeling of peak growth, of projects getting completed, of ideas and dreams coming to fruition
This year marks the 25th anniversary of me falling in love with mosaics. I'm celebrating by taking a look back to where and how it all began, with gratitude for where this path has taken me.
When people come together to create, the inspiration is exponential. I'm blown away by the work of my students this spring, and proud to show off their finished pieces.
This moment, this portal of equal day and night, is a uniquely powerful time of death and rebirth, in nature and within our own lives. When we look with awareness at the things that are no longer serving us, and focus our intention on letting go of them, we can truly release and transform, allowing space for what’s to come.
The desire to have a child became a catalyst for profound healing in my life, changing me in every way. Over and over, I had to release rigid assumptions, beliefs and resistances, to surrender to life.
After a wonderful fall season of workshops with amazing students, the studio is under construction, getting winterized. I'm so grateful for all that this year has brought.
Excitement. Amazement, Rebirth. This is the energy of Spring. We are given this unique time in the earth’s cycle where we can shed the heaviness, and gently release habits and stories that no longer serve us, in order to birth something new.
